What started as me finding a trainer for my wedding has turned into finding a personal trainer who is my friend. I can not emphasize how great it has been working out with Gerald over the past year.

He makes training fun and invigorating and I look forward to seeing him a few times a week.  Gerald changes the workout every single session which keeps things moving, makes it more exciting and always keeps me guessing. This also keeps me nice and sore!!! It honestly makes training that much more enjoyable when you do not know what you are going to do on a daily basis. More importantly though, Gerald is extremely knowledgeable and makes sure that I understand what exercises we are doing and why we are doing them. "Gerald changed my life. That’s the truth in a nutshell. Last year at this time, I felt out of shape, lethargic, and irritated that I had let myself feel this way at only 26 years old. When I heard that Gerald was coming to my job to offer us a boot camp/ body sculpt class and that my friends planned to join, I thought I’d try it out. I am now fully committed to Gerald and will do whatever it is that I have to do to make sure that this class can continue forever! Gerald’s demeanor, knowledge, personality, and true desire to help people get in shape and feel great are what make him so unique. He personalizes his sessions making them fit the members of the class and allows us to have a say in which areas of the body we target. Fitness and exercise have always consumed a major portion of my lifetime. As a young girl I danced, ran track, and seemed to effortlessly maintain my diet and nutritional requirements. Naturally as most people share this experience, I gained a significant amount of weight throughout my college years, setting myself up for an adulthood of potential diseases. Towards the conclusion of my college years, I began to implement a strict regimen of diet and exercise and was extremely thrilled with the results. Although after about 4 years of hard work which had paid off, I hit the obviously expected plateau. I had reached a point where I felt in shape and somewhat confident, but wanted to achieve further progress.

I then began training for my first marathon, which was an amazing experience that took my fitness level and confidence to an all-time high. Throughout my training, I was consistently advised to strength-train with weights in order to improve my anaerobic capabilities during the race. However, I hadn’t the knowledge or confidence to execute this. Four months following the completion of the marathon, I began group training with Gerald Ulysse. Twice a week, he instructed a body sculpting class conveniently right at my job. The class was by no means a social gathering, but given that I could now exercise with my friends from work, it made the experience more positive and incredibly motivating. Every week became more encouraging as we witnessed each other attaining new goals and levels of fitness. It became a constructive routine in our schedules providing us with an outlet to release frustrations from our daily duties as teachers, while also increasing confidence as we noticed our bodies starting to change.

After just five months of training with Gerald, I began preparing for my second marathon and immediately noticed a considerable difference in my aerobic capabilities and stamina. Sure enough after three months of marathon training, I ran my second 26.2 noticeably faster than the first achieving new fitness goals I never even thought possible. The meticulous, encouraging, and focused training techniques implemented by Gerald have helped me in discovering muscle groups I never knew existed. It has been just over one year since I began my journey with Gerald. I couldn’t be more grateful for our sessions together as they have radically inspired me to accomplish more advanced health and wellness goals continuing throughout my adulthood.

I cannot say enough to praise and endorse Gerald Ulysse and his fitness training. I have wrestled with weight and body issues since childhood, failing at every exercise routine I attempted due to inconsistency, lack of motivation, but mostly due to a lack of confidence. When I started Gerald’s classes I was skeptical and self conscious, even among friends. A year later, I am a dedicated client with what can only be called a “new body.” The ongoing improvements in my strength and endurance still amaze me. For almost two years I have been working out with Gerald.  Though I have always taken good care of myself, I need encouragement to include exercise in my weekly routines.  Gerald succeeds in making exercise fun and I genuinely look forward to our sessions.  Gerald arrives promptly at 5:30 am three days a week with a steaming latte and brimming with energy and enthusiasm.  His routines are different each and every day.  He is aware of all of my medical and physical limitations so I am confident I am always working within safe yet challenging boundaries.  He tailors my exercise regimen to my needs.  He strives to educate me about the various muscles I am using as well as the benefits of each exercise.  When he leaves I am ready to tackle the day with a stronger body and mind!

I was always an active person who understands the importance of healthy exercise, but it was only when I started working out with Gerald that I realized I was boring myself and my muscles with my routine exercise. Jerald has endless variety of exercises and combined with his vast knowledge in the exercise science field, he  targeted my goals exactly while keeping me interested with a different workout every session. After only 3 intense weeks with Gerald I felt each and every muscle (including those I never knew existed) of my body. Gerald proved me that you don't have to know what you are looking for but rather you just need to realize what you've been doing in order to make improvements.
